My First Country Concert// Maddie and Tae

 

Maddie & Tae are an American country music duo consisting of Madison Marlow and Taylor Dye, both of whom are singers, songwriters, and guitarists. In 2010, Maddie and Tae were both going to the same vocal coach and met at a showcase in Dallas which was halfway between their hometowns. Maddie is from Sugar Land, Texas and Tae is from Ada, Oklahoma. 

They hit it off as friends initially. Within the year, the duo was going back and forth to Nashville every weekend while still going to school. They first performed under the name "Sweet Aliana". After finishing high school, the duo moved to Nashville, to begin their musical career. In 2014, major record label, Big Machine revived the Dot Records name for a new imprint. Maddie & Tae were confirmed as the first signees of the label in June 2014. 

                     

                     

Since then, their debut album, Start Here, was released on August 28th, 2015. In promotion of their album, the pair have been touring constantly, initially as supporting acts in the Sounds of Summer Tour (2015) with Dierks Bentley, Kip Moore, & Canaan Smith, then headlining their own Start Here Tour (2015) and supporting Brad Paisley and Tyler Farr in the Life Amplified World Tour. more recently, they announced (and have just finished) their UK tour. 

The first video is for a song called After the storm blows through which was written for a friend whose father passed away. This also connects with anyone who is going through a tough time and honestly live it brought a tear to my eye it was such an emotional experience. Singing this song with Louise made me feel like the song is literally for us to show that we are always going to be there for eachother.

This next song I filmed because it connects to me because over the past 5 years I have been made to feel like im not good enough by certain different people and it sucks. This song literally makes me feel like all those things dont matter anymore because I am better now without them kind of people in my life.
