Welcome Back!!!
After spending the past few weeks away I feel like its time to come back with a post based on my goals of this new year. Now I know that this post may not be aimed towards you but I hope you can take some inspiration from some of the goals I have decided to set myself.
Goal 1: Stop Letting Anxiety Get In The Way
So far 2017 has not started off well in relation to my mental health. I have had a few Anxiety and Panic Attacks both of which could have been avoided if I stopped letting it rule over certain situations. I get highly anxious when loved ones are out alone whether it is my boyfriend going to the pub with his friends and then walking home alone or if its my best friends walking home or getting the bus alone. They both leave and the anxiety builds to a point where it feels like there is no return. I recently sat in the shower crying wishing for all of my mental health issues to go away because I simply cannot cope with them anymore. So from this moment I decided to start fighting back with with everything I have. I have started looking up to the stars, taking a deep breath and start thinking about all of the factual impossible things like the fact that there could be life in space or that we exist on this planet but we will never properly understand how we got here. Fighting anxiety is not impossible. Take time to look up at the stars.
Goal 2: Keep Up With Blogging
I have discovered that being creative helps take my mind of anything that could cause overthinking. Writing on this blog helps me get out everything I need to make me feel better and sharing with you could actually help someone that is reading this blog.
Goal 3: Seeing More Of The UK
This year me and my family have decided not to holiday in Wales we are going to Devon and because of this change it has inspired me to see more of the country I live in. I am planning on going on a short trip to Liverpool in the summer and hopefully will have days out in other parts of the country. This time I am not saying I want to go there and not go I will book it and actually go.
So overall I am doing as much as I can this year to stabilise my mental health. I can control this and I will get some of my life back. I would like to know what goals you have set yourself this year. If you have twitter. Tweet us @NeverlandPerks using the #2017Goals
I love all of our readers. Thank you for your support.
Love,
Emily xx
