Fifty Shades Darker Review

So​ ​as​ ​some​ ​of​ ​you​ ​may​ ​know,​ ​Emily​ ​and​ ​I​ ​both​ ​went​ ​with​ ​a​ ​friend​ ​to​ ​see​ ​the​ ​new​ ​Fifty​ ​Shades​ ​of Grey​ ​film​ ​in​ ​the​ ​cinemas​ ​on​ ​Feb​ ​13th.​ ​This​ ​was​ ​a​ ​part​ ​of​ ​our​ ​Valentine's​ ​tradition​ ​that​ ​we​ ​usually do​ ​together​ ​to​ ​celebrate​ ​our​ ​own​ ​“Galentines​ ​Day”.​ ​Considering​ ​that​ ​we​ ​both​ ​weren't​ ​really​ ​happy with​ ​the​ ​ending​ ​of​ ​the​ ​first​ ​film,​ ​we​ ​were​ ​both​ ​sceptical​ ​and​ ​hopeful​ ​about​ ​this​ ​new​ ​one.

Plot: 

Christian​ ​and​ ​Ana​ ​decide​ ​to​ ​rekindle​ ​their​ ​relationship,​ ​except​ ​this​ ​time​ ​there​ ​are​ ​no​ ​more​ ​rules​ ​or 

punishments.​ ​As​ ​they​ ​begin​ ​to​ ​get​ ​used​ ​to​ ​their​ ​newfound​ ​relationship,​ ​Christian's​ ​past​ ​begins​ ​to 

haunt​ ​Ana​ ​as​ ​Christian​ ​struggles​ ​with​ ​his​ ​innermost​ ​thoughts 

Opinion 

Louise:​ ​

I​ ​loved​ ​the​ ​fact​ ​that​ ​there​ ​was​ ​a​ ​real​ ​storyline​ ​to​ ​this​ ​one.​ ​The​ ​characters​ ​have​ ​really 

developed​ ​and​ ​there​ ​were​ ​quite​ ​a​ ​few​ ​twists​ ​and​ ​turns​ ​throughout​ ​the​ ​movie​ ​for​ ​me.​ ​The​ ​acting 

was​ ​really​ ​great​ ​and​ ​the​ ​fact​ ​that​ ​the​ ​romance​ ​between​ ​the​ ​characters​ ​really​ ​took​ ​off​ ​just​ ​topped 

the​ ​film.​ ​If​ ​I​ ​have​ ​one​ ​criticism​ ​it's​ ​that​ ​the​ ​whole​ ​helicopter​ ​scene​ ​really​ ​felt​ ​like​ ​it​ ​was​ ​just​ ​sort​ ​of 

thrown​ ​in​ ​randomly​ ​and​ ​was​ ​then​ ​swept​ ​under​ ​the​ ​rug​ ​after​ ​it​ ​was​ ​over.​ ​Other​ ​than​ ​that,​ ​I 

thoroughly​ ​enjoyed​ ​the​ ​entire​ ​film.​ ​Would​ ​totally​ ​see​ ​it​ ​again! 

Emily:
I agree with Louise on this one. There was actually a storyline this time and the characters have really developed. The acting was great and their was more of a romantic theme to the storyline this time. It wasnt just dominance and submission, sex and arguments. There was a backstory to why Christian has turned out the way he has. I really enjoyed the film and I will definitely see it again!
